In this post, we'll share a list of what we consider to be the best free stock footage websites on the Internet.

1. Pexels
On Pexels you can find a huge collection of free media to use on your website. It hosts millions of high-resolution photos, vectors, illustrations, and videos from contributors around the world. Pexels also has a very clean website design which makes it easy for you to use and navigate. Almost all photos on this site are licensed under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0.) license, so they’re free for any purpose.
2. Pixabay
Pixabay is another fantastic site to use for free stock images. With over 7 million high-resolution photos, it’s one of the biggest sites for free stock images on the web. You can find everything from clip art to vector graphics to photos and videos. All of these are licensed under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license.
3. Unplash
Unplash features over 400,000 free stock photos. There are so many images to choose from that you’re sure to find something you can use. We generally use Pexels or Pixabay more frequently, but if you can’t find what you’re looking for over there Unplash is another alternative. Like all of the above-mentioned sites, Unplash’s photos are licensed under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license.
What We Use Stock Photography For
We make use of stock footage to save time and effort. Taking personalized photography or hiring a professional photographer to do it can be time-consuming and costly, therefore to save time we like to use stock photography for things like blog posts, social media promotions, ad campaigns etc.
